Greg Bond is the Honored Alumnus for Chemical Engineering 2017

Received his Bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University in 1986 and his master’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Clemson University in 1988.

Greg joined the Dow Chemical Company in 1988 and has enjoyed his work with Dow his entire career with his focus in the environmental area. Specifically, he has worked in project management in multiple technologies such as incineration (kiln and thermal oxidizers), waste water, water and landfills.  Over his career, he has been the project manager for over 190 projects totaling a cost of approximately $750,000,000.  He is currently the Business Engineering Management Sponsor for the Environmental Technology Center which oversees projects spending approximately $100,000,000/year globally on environmental projects.

Over the years, Greg has received an Environmental Care Award, an Environmental Health and Safety Responsible Care Award, three Dow Technology Center Awards and was part of the team that won the Chemical Processing Magazine Plant Innovation Award in 2007.  His favorite part of his job has been recruiting for the Dow Chemical Company bringing many good new employees from BYU to Dow.

Greg has been married to the love of his life, Donna, for 32 years and they have been blessed with 7 children and 7 grandchildren.
